The 3 Stages of Shorwood's Service

STAGE 1
Understanding Self and Others

Misinterpretation and misunderstanding are at the root of workplace and personal conflict. All behaviour is open to a variety of interpretations, depending on who is interpreting. Our conclusion about someone else's behaviour is often the result of projecting our own familiar behavioural style on to them.

By understanding their own and others' behaviour, your team will:
  • gain a fresh perspective
  • talk openly about differences, preferences and frustrations
  • learn how well-intentioned behaviours can be negatively perceived by others
  • adapt those behaviours so others will respond positively
  • dispel negative judgements of team members
  • build trust and acceptance
At this stage, participants:
  • complete a 10-15 minute response form
  • receive a 26-page personalized report
  • debrief the report with a Shorwood representative
